Senior Manager Sourcing Strategy - Marketing and Sales
The Director Sourcing Strategy is a role within the finance department and will be responsible for driving the development and execution of global sourcing planning and strategies to support our Brand & Marketing, Retail and Analytics departments. In this role you will develop and marshal category-specific strategies, drive strategic sourcing activities, as well as build and execute programs to leverage significant advertising & promotional spend. This position will work very closely with other departments and our purchasing service provider to identify new strategic suppliers, provide sourcing support and take ownership of supplier strategies and internal processes.
The position is based in Gothenburg with a global responsibility. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Be the SPOC and act as a liaison in our relations with our purchasing services providers
- Owner of internal processes and secure quality in requisition process
- Drive the development of company-wide procurement processes and partner with all levels of leadership cross-functionally to build impactful, efficient and cost effective vendor relationships
- Manage procurement activities and provide overall vendor governance and oversight for a range of categories within the Marketing landscape eg.
- Media plan and buy agencies
- Social media plan and buy agencies
- Digital Media Strategy
- Digital Asset Management Technology
- Visual Merchandising
- PR services
- Drive procurement strategy and policy in key spend areas, and ensure compliance with agreed category strategies
- Support the business in sourcing, negotiating and contracting to optimize cost, reduce risk and enhance the company's agility both globally and locally.
- Lead, together with purchasing service provider, contract discussions with legal
- Liaison with Business controllers to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
- Identify potential projects to be placed on rate cards
- Continuously monitor external market conditions and understand their potential impacts on supplier pricing or service levels
- Assess and understand the financial and strategic impact of new and existing business initiatives (i.e. Media Optimization, Capital Project ROI, etc.).
Profile and background
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain or relevant field required
- 8-10 years' work experience in procurement in Indirect Materials (meriting if experience in marketing)
- Strong experience from negotiation and procurement of contracts for CRM, Digital and Media Agencies, E-Commerce and Marketing software service providers, as well as SaaS agreement negotiations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and issues with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience from retail and/or consumer goods organizations
- Experience from partnership with external consultants
