Kort beskrivning av företaget: UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is the UK Government's trade promotion and inward investment organisation. It is a UK governmental body owned jointly by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. In Sweden, we operate with 12 members of staff and we are based at the British Embassy in Stockholm. The Inward Investment Team at the Embassy run inward investment projects from Sweden into the UK. We are now looking to recruit an enterprising and results-orientated Senior Investment Advisor. This position is a parental leave cover that is expected to start in May 2015 for a period of 8 - 9 months. Together with the Team, you will be working with business, trade associations, government agencies and other multipliers to raise the profile of UK as an attractive investment destination. The successful candidate will be able to show evidence of being a self-motivated and driven project leader.

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: In addition to directly help Swedish companies to set up and expand in the United Kingdom, you will furthermore take an active role in the Embassy's Prosperity Agenda. Prosperity is now one of the UK Government's top three foreign policy priorities so with the aim to deliver direct support for the UK economy and help create a strong, sustainable, and open global economy, you will cooperate and run sector campaigns with colleagues across Embassy sections. The campaigns are likely to include a series of events and planned activities which you are either project managing yourself or for which you find yourself being part of a project team. The British Embassy offers an international working environment, personal development prospects, and an opportunity to work closely with an extensive number of clients, high-level stakeholders and colleagues from Stockholm, the Nordics and the UK. Further information www.gov.uk/government/organisations/uk-trade-investment www.gov.uk/government/world/organisations/british-embassy-stockholm You have good Swedish industry knowledge together with contacts in the industry preferably from environmental/ cleantech technologies, mobile communications and renewable energy. You have a strong client focus, a service minded approach and are able to effectively structure projects/seminars and other events as well as client case work to meet tough performance targets. Ideally you would have 3-7 years of relevant experience and experience of inward investment work would be of merit. You are a responsible team player and organise resources to deliver objectives. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and see links between own work and that of others within the organisation and beyond. You will be taking an active part in delivering into the Embassy's Prosperity Agenda, i.e. through teams and campaigns help create opportunities for British businesses to strengthen the UK economy and build the UK's reputation internationally. Main Duties ? Identify opportunities for Swedish companies looking to establish in the UK; generate the projects and assist the companies throughout the investment process. ? Run events and missions to highlight UK as an investment destination. ? Contribute to the wider UKTI team Sweden in achieving the overall objectives set out in the Embassy Business Plan. ? Management of allocated marketing activities for agreed events. Required Skills & Qualifications ? Build and maintain working relations with stakeholders and customers in Sweden, within the Nordic/Baltic UKTI network and in the UK. ? Ability to work effectively and supportively on shared objectives with colleagues and contacts in the immediate and wider teams. ? Ability to organize self and work effectively. ? Be able to take responsibility and use initiative to deliver high quality work. ? Understand and focus on customer needs. ? Convey written and verbal information accurately and concisely. ? Being able to develop and communicate expertise within a certain prioritised industry sector. ? Open and flexible approach to new ideas to improve results. Enthusiastic about personal development. Open to change and innovation. ? Respond flexibly to changing priorities with the ability to see the bigger picture. ? High social skills and a team player. ? Deliver at tight deadlines. ? Good IT skills are essential. ? University degree (preferably Social Sciences or Business related). ? Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish. ? Ability to see the bigger picture and see links between own work and that of others within the organisation and beyond. ? Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: All applicants should have the right to live and work in Sweden. The British Embassy does not sponsor for work permits. Please note that being a Locally Employed staff by the British Embassy will not give access to be registered with the Swedish population registry. According to the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs the locally employed staff should be either Swedish citizens or permanent residents, i.e. registered with the population registry before starting the employment.
