hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Machinegames Sweden AB i Uppsala MachineGames is seeking a Senior Game Designer to oversee the design, implementation and tuning of game systems to ensure the best moment-to-moment gameplay experience.
Our studio is located in central Uppsala, Sweden which is a small and vibrant city 30 minutes north of Stockholm with a historical heritage reaching back to pre-medieval times. It also has the oldest and one of the largest universities in northern Europe.
This is a permanent position starting as soon as possible. We will support your relocation and/or application for work permit if you have a non-EU passport and/or not currently residing in Sweden.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the lead game designer to realize the game's vision.
Take ownership over delegated areas of game design.
Develop game systems and mechanics in collaboration with programmers, artists, designers.
Focus and lead functional UI/HUD/GUI design and development in collaboration with programmers, artists, designers.
Document and communicate changes to peers and stakeholders.
Approach development as an iterative process with clearly defined goals.
Plan out and complete work with minimal direction or oversight from managers/producers.
Break down goals into estimated tasks, in collaboration with production unit / strike team (if applicable).
Lead by example and tutor any less experienced game designers. You can take on a mentor role.
Qualifications
• 5 years within the game industry working as a game designer.
At least 1 shipped AAA title.
Experience with designing system driven games.
Experience with multiplayer design.
Experience in game balancing.
