Senior Equipment Engineer

Test Facility Development is part of section Maintenance, Investments & Metrology within R&D. Our essential commitment is to develop and procure testing equipment and facilities within R&D. We provide advanced engineering from an initial pilot study to operational facility including documentation and training, both for minor equipment and for facilities that are more extensive. Most of our work are performed in projects in close collaboration with in-house customers, in-house IT department, the purchasing department, consultants and external entrepreneurs. The group Test Facility Development consists of 20 persons. In addition, we today engage approximately 30 consultants.

As Senior Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and leading assignments that aim to deliver solutions for laboratories and proving grounds within R&D. You will also be responsible in the investment projects for technical solutions, mainly in the area of automation end electrical systems from investigation to an implemented product. The work demands that you participate in investment projects with the responsibility for time, function and cost. This includes also budget work, follow up and planning & coordination of internal resources and suppliers.

Main responsibilities

* Creating specifications and technical solutions together with concerned parties both in early phases and in approved projects
* In collaboration with the purchasing department handle requests for quotations and participate in the procurement of test automation systems and project follow-up
* Taking part in engineering, installation, commissioning, final tests and co-ordination
* Participate in the development of the methods of operation within the group

Required qualifications

* M.Sc. or similar education
* Five years of experience of industrial automation, electrical engineering or electrical installation
* Good knowledge in test automation
* Well acquainted with project work
