About us:
Our infotainment system, powered by Android Automotive, truly is generally seen as one of the best infotainment systems on the market. While we developed our infotainment system together with Google, we want to spread the joy to others as well. Volvo Cars is setting up a new partnership with technology company ECARX and establishing a new joint venture to develop and commercialize the base software platform of our Volvo Cars infotainment system. The platform will be made available to all brands within Volvo Cars Group and Geely Group, as well as to ECARX to commercialize.
What you will do
We are now looking for a Senior Buyer to join Sputnik. Your main objective will be to drive and maximize business value for the company within procurement.
You will be responsible for the complete purchasing process. From sourcing strategy, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, contract management and order - to approval of invoices. This is a broad buyer role at a small company and you are responsible for all kinds of purchasing that spans from sourcing of software licenses and engineering services - to less complex sourcing, such as telephones. The role also includes cost control and forecast of all external spending.
In this role, you will report to the CFO and cooperate with the Head of R&D and Product Manager as well as other stakeholders. You are confident in advising stakeholders in commercial issues, providing support and guidance. You enjoy working proactively and close to the stakeholders and suppliers to understand the products, markets and work for common solutions. You will also be responsible for tracking contract compliance and to take strategic actions to improve quality, cost and sustainability.
Qualifications
* Results-driven with great negotiation, communication and collaboration skills
* Have a positive mindset and always see challenges as opportunities for growth and personal development
* Structured and organized in your way of working
* Worked in broad, hands on procurement roles
* Worked at least 5 years with purchasing of software licenses and services (including contracts, analysis, fact-based negotiations and strategies)
* It is also advantageous if you have experience from process development since this is a startup and we will need long term efficient procurement processes
* Strong business acumen as well as an ability to shift between short and long term focus
