Business & Application Services (BAS) is responsible for preserving, maintaining and supporting Volvo Car Group 's total application portfolio in the most effective, robust and secure way as part of our application life cycle management responsibility. We also provide subject matter experts to support and enable operational development. To be successful in our deliveries we collaborate with our business, within IT and our supplier network.
CAD/PDM Concept & Change provides expert knowledge to CAD and PDM project. We are also conducting concept and pre-studies, and support the maintenance organizations in the CAD/PDM domain with investigations problem solving and testing.
As a Senior Business Analyst EL CAD (CATIA) you will be the focal point for all IT-related matters regarding Electrical CAD within CATIA. You will contribute with your knowledge to the operational development projects within the competence area and support solution architects with your expert knowledge in both the business problems and available solution components.
Main responsibilities
Understand or Identify the business needs/benefit and value of the activity. Lead and perform concept studies, pre-studies, including problem/opportunity analysis, As-is and To-Be state
Be a subject matter expert in the area and research the business and technology domains appropriate to business and IT solution definition
Collaborate with stakeholders, for business modeling, requirements elicitation, information modeling etc., and lead/participate in stakeholder analysis and management
Elicit, elaborate, verify, validate and communicate requirements, and keeping track of /analyzing changes
Facilitate and participate in the verification and validation of the proposed solutions
Balance needs and expectations of customers, users and stakeholders through all activity phases and related to BA deliveries
Participate in transition activities when applicable
Required Qualifications
University degree or equivalent working experience
At least five years of relevant experience (5-10 years)
High proficiency in CATIA V5 Electrical modules
Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation
Understanding of automotive business processes
Good resource, cost and time management ability.
Strategic and holistic perspective when examining a challenge.
Fluency in English and strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in SABER Harness and/or CHS
Knowledge and experience of PDM (Product Data Management)/PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions, preferably Teamcenter
Understanding of automotive business processes
