The Listing Qualifications team within our Surveillance organization is looking for a Senior Auditor to join the team! The mission of the Listing Qualifications group is to protect investors and market integrity by ensuring that listed companies meet the rigorous listing standards of the Exchange. As a regulatory function it is crucial that we possess detailed knowledge and understanding on the regulations and related practices that apply to listed companies and act with the highest professionalism and integrity. Our fundamental objective is to ensure that the markets confidence in Nasdaq, our markets and the securities market in general is maintained.
With this position we offer
The Listings Qualifications team is based in Stockholm and part of the broader Legal and Regulatory function within Nasdaq. The team represents Nasdaq in relation to companies seeking to list on the exchange. In addition to listing of companies shares we also handle the admission process for all other product types (including bonds, ETPs, etc.) on our markets by ensuring that issuers and the instruments meet the quality standards required by Nasdaq and by underlying legislation. In this role, you will be part of a broader team of 200+ legal, compliance, surveillance and regulatory professionals located in the U.S. and Europe.
Your role and responsibilities
You will be part of a small and highly competent team in which you will bring specific focus on accounting/audit standards. You will work with companies undergoing the listing process, validating that the company fulfills the requirements in accordance with the exchanges rules and that they have undertaken sufficient preparations to assume the responsibilities of a listed company. In this role, you will:
Enforce listing standards through applying Nasdaqs rules and underlying legislation. You will also contribute to the formation and interpretation of Nasdaqs listing rules;
Meet and work with companies and their advisors to assess whether Nasdaqs listing requirements are met from case-to-case;
Provide guidance on listing standards to companies and their advisors, as well as other groups within Nasdaq; and work on important initiatives and special projects, such as developing new listing rules and implementing new technologies to help us work more efficiently;
Work closely with colleagues in corresponding roles across the Nordics and the US to build on best practices;
Coordinate with regulators such as the Swedish FSA;
Participate in continuously developing and transforming the listing process to meet the needs of an swiftly evolving market; and
Communicate externally on Nasdaqs rules and processes, through rulebooks, guidelines and general information to the market.
While we want you to contribute with your particular competence in accounting/auditing, it is also important as part of a small team that you are willing to get involved in all areas of the teams work.
We expect you to have:
In order to be successful in this role, besides having a genuine interest in the financial markets and sharing our view that efficient regulation is a cornerstone of well-functioning markets, we are interested in candidates having:
Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
Extensive experience from working with IPO processes as an auditor with a high level of integrity
Have knowledge and experience from stock market rules and internal controls
A highly analytical mindset
Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish both written and spoken.
