Our exciting opportunity

We work with the latest generation of broadband wireless technology and our main task is to systemize and develop advanced radio network functions for the 5G NR RAN, including cloud RAN/future 6G platforms requirements on RRM (Radio Network System) systemization. We engage in the complete feature flow, from early phase concept development to the systemization and design of RRM algorithms. We use simulators to optimize radio network algorithms but also collect and analyse data from customer networks and perform troubleshooting.
We are recruiting a section manager to PEU Performance PD3 sector in Kista. This sector is responsible for performance of the baseband SW primarily within the gNB. This includes developing features and functionality in the areas MBB (Mobile Broadband) for 5G such as Scheduling and QoS features, carrier aggregation, massive MIMO, link adaptation, and much more.

We are looking for a Product Development Leader to take a role as section manager for section System 3A. In this role you will exercise Ericsson technology leadership and make sure we have the right scope, quality, time, and cost for product development. You will guide, coach, challenge and develop individuals, teams, and organizations. You will foster a creative and learning culture. As a manager, a large part of your work will be spent in tight co-operation with colleagues in your team, but also with other units, located in Kista, Lund, and Ottawa. This requires a keen interest in people and an ability to empower teams. We also expect you to have the gift and courage of simplifying complex structures, to develop competence and innovation. You must have a solid understanding of agile and lean R&D development.
You will as a section manager report to the head of PEU Performance PEG 3 sector manager and be a member of the PEG 3 leadership team. The section consists of team of system developers that focus on L1 and MIMO systemization and L1 & MIMO simulations, all working with the 5G NR baseband products with focus on performance. The unit is based in Kista.
The main challenge is to keep the focus on our current business and at the same time move into new technically challenging areas.

Experience working with system development supporting SW and test development
L1 & MIMO simulations
Experience in supporting real-time embedded/DSP programming
Experience in working with radio baseband or radio protocols
Good English language skills in both writing and conversation
