Transmission in China - Full scale Scania production setup from zero
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set-up a 3rd industrial hub in China. A project to develop and implement full scale assembly operations have been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of eMobility & Transmission Assembly, including assembly of gearboxes and axles, prepared for eMobility powertrain.
We are now looking for candidates to lead the project teams to put industrial process and organization in place!
In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to create a full scale production plant in China. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch production in a completely new factory. There will be possibilities for longer periods in China.
There will be several roles within management and project management needed.
Engineering management and project leaders, lead the team to:
• Develop and design factory layout, processes and methods, including setting factory in-house logistics processes and assembly line operations
• Specify & procure equipment for assembly and logistics operations
• Define and prepare the Scania Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Quality Engineering management and project leaders, lead the team to:
• Development risk reduction "quality control plan"
• Prepare quality Gates structure and error proofing all critical assemblies operations
• Set the process for product audit
SPS management and project leaders, lead the team to:
• Prepare training material based on SPS principles in order to train local workers
• Develop standards & element sheets needed
• Implement the ISO, understand and validate all local rules

You have abilities to understand details as well as the broader perspective. Ability to visualize, motivate and explain our needs and needed decisions towards executives will be appreciated.
Your location
The China project team is based in Södertalje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competences needed and project deliveries. Business trips abroad and to China occur. For some roles longer location in China is possible or needed.
