We are looking for a Safety Validator for our Rail Control Solutions Division in Hässleholm
Your Role:
As Safety Validator you are in charge of evaluating if project evidences are sufficient to justify its safety. You will be responsible for the process of analysis followed by a judgment based on evidence to determine whether an item (e.g. process, documentation, software or application) fits the user needs, in particular with respect to safety and quality and with emphasis on the suitability of its operation in accordance to its purpose in its intended environment.
You will create the Validation Plan in the beginning of a project and generates the Validation Report at the end, recommending (or not) fit for use and/or commissioning on site.
The Validator is independent from product development and must be able to determine whether Hardware and/or Software developed for the project are sufficiently safe and fit for purpose.
Your Responsibilities and Challenges:
• Develop a system understanding of the products to be validated thus are able to focus on critical issues or areas that need to get more focus.
• Checks that safety related as well as non-safety related requirements have been fulfilled.
• Validate the traceability between requirement and respective tests in order to demonstrate that the system meets the specific requirements for which it was intended.
• Checks that safety evidences are consistent with required safety integrity levels and correctly identified & controlled.
• Ensure that both safety related and non-safety related non-conformities are reviewed and handled in an appropriate manner.
• Checks the Verification Process has produced all outputs explained in the Validation Plan.
• Carry out audits, inspections or reviews on the overall project as appropriate in various phases of development.
• Generate the Validation Report
Your Experience and Qualifications:
• Master Degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Computer Science)
• Overall software understanding and perspective including understanding the application environment
• Experienced in safety attributes of application?s domain
• Experience in working with and using safety standards (CENELEC)
• Analytical thinking ability and good observation skills
• Knowledge of relevant standards and specification (HW/SW)
• Fluency in Swedish and English is required
• Process oriented
• Experience from safety analysis and coordination
• In order to be successful in this position you need be independent, well organized and structured. You also need to be driven with good communication and collaborative abilities. Since this position also includes cooperation with other stakeholders you need to be both social and have high degree of integrity.
