Your workplace
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
We are looking for additional resources to strengthen our Strategic Procurement function at Saab Support & Services, Aircraft Services Division.
Aircraft Services, a division within Saab Support & Services, provides spares and services for the Saab 340 and Saab 2000 fleet of aircraft, JAS 39 Gripen, SK60 as well as aftermarket support to other civil platforms and our military customers. In addition we are working with new business with AEW, MPA, MSA aircraft.
Your role
The Strategic Procurement function has the main responsibility for all Aircaft Services division suppliers. Main focus is on development of the suppliers which involves, among other things, contract and price negotiations. One major issue for the future is to secure new supplies for the different projects and find alternate sources of supply. We are striving to work with rationalization of our supplier base and incorporating commodity management, cost reduction and alignment of procurement processes within Saab.
The Strategic Procurement group currently consists of 10 people and, based upon your background, you will be dealing with suppliers in the various field such as Mechanical systems, Electrical/Avionics equipment and/or interior parts of the aircraft or indirect material and services.
Your qualifications
The following competencies is of interest for the open position:
• Experience in negotiation and administration of agreements.
• Genuine background in strategic purchasing, preferably on the international market,
• Initiative and strong focus in finding new or alternative suppliers
• Skills in Project Management
Our business language is English, why the position requires excellent skills in this language, both in talking and writing.
