At the School of Health, Care and Social Welfare our students are studying to be for example behavioural scientists, public health scientists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers and specialist nurses. Here we have the research specialisation of Health and Welfare. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with county councils, municipalities and companies in the region.

Position description
We are looking for a research assistant to be part of a multi-disciplinary and international team at Mälardalen University and KTH - Royal Institute of Technology. The team will be working with a project aiming at increasing awareness of the benefits of digital learning, digital health literacy, the global sustainability goals, public health and nutrition among government officials, and in this project specifically in Ethiopia and Rwanda. The research assistant will be responsible for preparing online learning material regarding the global sustainability goals, public health and nutrition relevant for the health and agricultural situation in these countries, as well as interacting with government officials in Ethiopia and host visitors from Ethiopia. For the online training program targeting government officials we will use a state-of-the-art method called Open Learning Initiative. The project is financed by the Swedish Institute and will be documented and presented in scientific papers and conferences.

Qualification requirements
Qualifications for the position is having a bachelor or master degree in public health, global health, nutrition or corresponding topic. Previous experience from working in the field of public health, global health, nutrition, or the global sustainability goals in practice, research or in education as well as have experience from working in Ethiopia, or neighboring countries, are required. Being fluent in English, both in written and oral, is required.

Being able to work independently, plan and execute projects as well as document the process is essential. Moreover, paying attention to details, being able to collaborate with others, and extensive experience from using computers are important aspects of the work.

Merit
Qualifications that are considered to be a merit are work experience from Ethiopia related to the global sustainability goals (Agenda 2030), public health, global health and nutrition. Experience from teaching, scientific writing and communication are merits.
