Description
Customer Logistics is a global organization with around 600 employee's world wide. Customer Logistics ensure an efficient order and contract fulfillment for EAB, from order entry up to complete and timely delivery to site. We also provide solutions for all requirements in the general areas of goods distribution and warehousing within the Ericsson Group.
Customer Logistics operate BNET Sales & Operations Planning process.
Main functions within Customer Logistics:
• Demand Planning
• Ericsson Distribution Logistics
• Order and Contract Management
• Supply Project Management
• Process and Support
Transport Management is a part of Ericsson Distribution Logistics and is the operative organization that manages shipments and deliveries to Ericssons customers world wide.
Physical location is in Borås, Ryda warehouse.
Job description
The Job Stage has the following main accountabilities:
• Performing short-term forecasting of distribution capacity requirements and planning the transportation of shipments
• Supervising shipments, providing information to involved parties and managing exceptions
• Acting as operational interface between Order Management and the DSP (Distribution Service Provider i.e. DHL, Panalpina etc.)
• Acting as operational interface between Order Management within Customer Logistics and the Market Units/Local Companies on distribution matters
• Supporting Contract Management, Order Management and Distribution Management with specialist competence on general distribution matters and/or on specific distribution related subjects
• Supporting and/or co-ordinating the day-to-day work of other Transport Planners in the order office
• Participating in and contributing to the Ericsson Distribution Logistics (EDL) network, to help maintain a global Distribution competence
As a Senior Transport Planner you can have one or more of the following responsibilities, tasks and duties:
Distribution Service Provider (DSP) Developer:
• Transport planning. i.e administrate shipments/deliveries
• Cooperate with Regional developers and Sourcing
• Coordinate activities for all involved in the DSP (Meetings with other organizations etc.)
• Be responsible that weekly meetings take place for all markets and other departments with DSP
• Have monthly meetings with DSP
• Be the escalation point for operational distribution issues regarding your DSP
• Demand results and develop DSP (Key Performance Indicators)
• Share and spread information regarding DSP within the organization
• Know all agreements, terms and conditions with the DSP
• Give input to negotiations and support the DSP implementation and/or change in market responsibilities
• Secure ways of working between DSP and Ericsson
Regional Developer:
• Coordinate the daily work within Transport Planning in cooperation with the Customer Logistics regions
• Cooperate with DSP developers, Customer Logistics Regions and Regional Distribution Managers
• Be the first escalation point for operational distribution issues
• Analyze and develop flows
• Plan budget with distribution projects
• Prepare/validate DSP contracts when change into a new DSP
• Handle charter requests
• Spread distribution information to sites, Contract Management and Order Management within Customer Logistics
Special Flow Developer:
• Support Transport Planners in the daily job that they need to perform in these special flows
• Initializing and implementing new supply flows
• Coordinating flows that are not yet standardized i.e. Direct Shipments (shipments directly from sub suppliers) and Push and Pull (inbound flows to consolidate material)
• Maintain and develop existing and new contacts with internal and external vendors
• Act as an interface in the relationship between Transport Management and the different warehouses
