www.fingerprints.comFPC is seeking experienced Project Leader to join us in developing future fingerprint systems for mobile phones and other portable devices. FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packaging, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices.
The Role
The position as a Project Leader entails to drive and co-ordinate technical advanced projects and activities. The position is within the field of Microelectronics Packaging Development which is one of FPCs four groups in research and development. The task of the group is to provide the sensitive CMOS sensor with a package or module where the costumers are offered an electrically and mechanically robust interface. Compared to traditional packaging there are high requirements on customized outline and functional surface properties. Package types used are ranging from standardized wire bonding solutions to advanced 3D integrated systems.
The main objective with this position is to drive activities, by planning and follow up, related to the field of Microelectronics packaging within product development projects at FPC. The overall focus for such projects are to develop and industrialize the next generations of fingerprint sensors for mobile phones and other portable devices. The role is mainly technical and does not include any personnel or budget responsibilities. The position also involves communication with subcontractors in an international environment, mainly in Asia.
The work location is Gothenburg or Malmö. This role reports to our Director Microelectronic Packaging Development, R&D.
International travel to FPC suppliers, partners and customers may be required. The work includes a high tempo and you are usually working in several projects at the time.
Your Background
This role requires a technical education, such as Master or Bachler in electronics, physics, chemistry or the equivalent, as well as several years of occupational experience in similar field.
You need to be fluent in spoken and written English and not opposed to traveling abroad.
Success in this role requires:
• Experience of technical project leading in an international environment.
• Experience of development projects for hardware products in electronics.
• Experience of cooperations with subcontractors in Asia.
If you have knowledge in Chinese or Korean it is an advantage.
You also have essential qualities such as being ambitious, motivated and flexible. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the company's success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace. You have good communication skills and are used to work with colleagues that is located elsewhere.
