hela Sverige The Technology group of AkzoNobel, Expancel in Sundsvall has the objective to provide new and optimize existing process equipment for todays need to the business and to innovate and protect the solutions for tomorrow's need as well. The Technology group consists of 9 people and serves both Expancel and Bleaching Chemicals.
We have an immediate opening for a person who can fulfil a new key role as Quality Manager. As a Quality Manager you will play a crucial role in the work with quality and continous improvement to achieve operational excellence in Expancel. It is a full time position on a permanent basis reporting to the Technology Manager.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible to apply quality assurance methods in line with Expancel management system including the Expancel production sites globally align with the ALPS processes and sharing best practice to reach the vision: The leading provider of high performance expandable microspheres solutions worldwide. You will be member of Expancel Production Management Team and teamleader of the Expancels Quality program.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
• Create instructions/procedures and contribute to the training of Expancel personnel.
• Suggest business targets within quality and efficiency. Follow up on overall KPI:s, report and act on deviations from KPI:s.
• Secure that all MoC process modifications are evaluated regarding their effect on product quality, secure that measures are taken and that sales and marketing are informed.
• Coordinate and lead improvement work within quality and efficiency as L6S Brownbelt
• Speaking partner regarding product quality from Expancel in contacts with customers.
• Responsible to secure that quality deviations and customer complaints are solved and reported.
• Monitor and participate in introduction of new products in production.
Qualifications:
• Masters degree in chemical engineering or corresponding.
• Several years of experience from quality work in production units.
• Experience in change processes; lean and/or six sigma implementations or similar is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and able to communicate on all levels in the organization since you will be working in several different projects with external and internal customers.
• Good problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, run accurate (also statistical) analyses and synthesize recommendations.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both oral and written.
