We are looking for a committed team member interested in business and new technologies.
Your duties
In the role as a Project Purchaser for Starters & Alternators you are responsible for implementation and optimization of new components in terms of Cost, Quality, Timeline and Technology.
You lead the discussion with the suppliers all the way from concept development until start of production and work with request for quotations, technical discussions, cost analysis, negotiations, order placement and industrialization.
The work gives a great opportunity to work with new technology and commercial strategies as you challenge Scania R&D and suppliers to optimize our technical roadmap. You will also build a broad network cross functionally together with representatives from Product Development, Quality, Production, Logistics and After Sales.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is commercial, result oriented, has strong ability to take initiative, are able to handle multiple open cases and at the same time look ahead and think strategically, as well as good presentation skills.
You are good at maintaining relationships and enjoy having many contacts both internally and with our suppliers, and you take initiative to share knowledge within the team. We expect you to be an engineer with several years' experience within purchasing or engineering, preferable in the automotive industry.
As the job involves a large international network and travel, you will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English. Other language skills are an advantage and we expect fluent Swedish after some time.
We offer
An interesting and challenging job where there is plenty of room for new ideas.
Our corporate culture is characterized by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. Employees are our most important resource, so we invest in training to broaden your skills to grow with us.
We offer Scania employees and their families free access to a complete fitness centre. If you live in Stockholm we offer an easy way to commute with the Scania Job Express, a direct bus that runs between Stockholm and Södertälje.
