IPCO, formerly Sandvik Process System, was by the end of last year acquired by the Wallenberg foundations, FAM. The Project Office Manager, a new key position, is supposed to add new value and act as catalyst by bringing common structured project framework to high skilled engineering services.
Your main responsibility is to build up and establish a suitable project structure for the various special engineering projects related to conveyor solutions. You work close to highly competent team co-workers who hold special skills within calculations, construction, design and technical service. Special engineering is a team of five professionals who serve the Belt business globally with solutions upon request from local markets as well as they take part in business development projects close to customers.
You make sure the requirements from local markets and business development initiatives are handled in a common efficient process. In close cooperation to your colleagues you set a framework and standard procedure for project resourcing, competence sharing and follow up.
Initially the main focus will be to create and establishing a project office however this role will also include the ability to support the sales organization which means that you will start to learn the business, our products and applications.
Special engineering is organized at Global service and parts Belts (in total 13 employees) who altogether report to the Global Operations Manager Service & Parts, Belts based in Sandviken. This position requires frequent travel, approximately 40 travel days per year.
Your profile
Your educational background is preferably a technical university degree.
You are an experience project manager with a good understanding of advanced customer driven product development and aftermarket services. Managerial experience is valued and especially from leading change. Experience from a broad couple of functions, and in particular from design & engineering, in an international manufacturing company is preferred. Your personality will be highly valued. Outmost valued is your capability to adjust work structure to business needs and your communication skills.
