What you will be a part of
Program and project management office is responsible for supporting the projects and program activities within Saab IT, both with excellent project execution and by planning ahead as well as monitoring the portfolio status as of today.
We work with projects all over the Saab World and many of our projects are focusing sites outside of Sweden. The purpose of executing the programs and projects are, at least, one of the following; supporting internal IT improvements with focus on improving Information security, e.g. availability, integrity and confidentiality. A large part of the portfolio is supporting the business deals with IT solutions during the various steps of either winning or executing the deals. Finally we also support the operations within enhancements, upgrades or consolidations of IT systems whenever run by using the project method.

Your role
As project manager within Saab IT you be an important contributor to the success of the company by managing programs or projects within the ICT area to timely and efficiently support the business needs. The projects runs both within one or several business areas as at specific sites or countries or globally. Saab depends more and more on having fast and timely access to excellent IT-solutions to support the business, and excellent project execution is an important part in our future success.
In practice our projects executes within a wide range of functional areas;
mergers and acquisitions
development of new services
pre-studies for future services
application development, deployment, user training and upgrade
IT environments to support our Brazil business and other campaigns
industrial cooperation
enhancement of production environments.
continuous improvements and building of the ICT Program Office
All our projects work in close cooperation with corporate security, the Business Units, Market areas, partners and sometimes with authorities.
A large part of the Saab ICT operation is outsourced to partners and most of your projects will include some or several partners as well as Saab ICT personnel.
We are well on the way to implement a truly global ICT organization which means that your colleagues will be working also outside of Sweden. This role requires travelling within and outside of Sweden.
Your skills and experience
IT is a service organization and exists for the benefit of the business. In order to be successful you need to be result-oriented, persistent, engaged and with excellent communication skills. You have a way of empowering your fellow co-workers and project team members to go the extra mile and you can both take on the helicopter perspective as well as digging into details when it is needed. You do strive to constantly improve your ways of working and to give your team the best possible prerequisites to succeed. You see a failure as a way of improving your knowledge and you show good judgement and you have a proven record of successfully managing projects in complex environments.
We think you have a university degree and that you work today as a project manager or manager. This position requires excellent skills in English and knowledge of other languages is a merit.
If you have lived and worked abroad for Saab or for other companies in relevant markets it will also be considered a merit.
