We are still growing and are hiring another Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions department. Group M&A is part of Vattenfall's staff functions and is responsible for acquisitions, divestments, swaps and mergers of companies and businesses carried out by the Vattenfall Group.

You will join a committed and experienced team, working on and leading deals from day one. As a Project Manager you will manage and gain exposure to smaller and larger M&A transactions, working alongside and leading deal teams. You will have the overall responsibility to lead negotiations, conduct due diligence, develop valuation models and strategies across Vattenfall's businesses. You will lead and cooperate with teams of various experts requiring good communication and leadership skills.
You will participate in shaping the smart energy society of tomorrow, working in a professionally varied environment with a big range of contact points.
Our airy open-plan office is located in a new and modern building on Evenemangsgatan in Solna, across the street from Mall of Scandinavia.
As M&A Manager, you will have the following key responsibilities:
• Lead or coordinate transactions from idea stage to final closing in all Vattenfall's business areas, devise appropriate financial structures
• Ensure direct supervision of the due diligence process, the preparation of the transaction documents and the internal decision-making materials
• Develop all M&A material for internal and external use with support from M&A analysts, resources from business areas and relevant staff functions
• Select and lead legal, financial and commercial advisors
• Present transaction and updates to decision making bodies within Vattenfall
• Represent Vattenfall to banks and the investor community
• Ensure that the internal reporting and consultation mechanisms are fulfilled and consolidated into the business development processes at Group level
• Contribute in recruitment, training and development of junior colleagues
Your personal characteristics and profile
As you will be given autonomy with your projects, stakeholder management, self-drive, and ability to express your ideas and convince internally and externally are important. Hence we expect the candidate to have:
• Professional attitude, high working ethics, flexible style and ability to work under pressure both independently as well as in teams
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multinational teams
• 8 years of relevant experience including a significant part in M&A or related function (e.g. Investment Banking, Project Finance, Corporate M&A team; Equity fund; etc.), preferably in the energy & utilities sector. Experience with offshore wind is a plus
• Understanding of valuation, financial analysis and structuring
• Strong commercial background and negotiation skills, understanding of and ability to negotiate legal contracts
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Excel skills including basic VBA knowledge
• University degree with preference for MBA or finance/quantitative oriented cursus
• Excellent knowledge of English language, Swedish a plus

Location
Your location is Solna/Stockholm and you need to be willing to travel within Northern Europe. Application may be sent in Swedish or English.
