THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
Being our new team member means that your home base will be the internal consulting organization, where you share knowledge and experiences with colleagues working in the same field as you. Volvo Group IT, Project Management, consists of approximately 200 Project Managers in different locations around the world, and the main responsibilities are to deliver Project Management skills and support to the whole Volvo Group. The Skövde team consists of 17 Project Managers, who are skilled within the Project Management profession with a mindset to support each other in the daily work. We believe that people are our asset, therefore, as a part of our team, we will together plan for your continuous and professional development and you will find plenty of training and assignment opportunities within Volvo Group. Furthermore, with our assessment process we make sure that your competence and experience is visible.
TASKS WOULD INCLUDE
As a Project Manager you will plan and lead projects where global complexity and business innovation are part of your daily work. In your work you use our control model (based on PMI PMBOK®) and your Steering committee usually consists of managers from all concerned parts of Volvo Group. Your project members come from different sites within our organization which means you will get the opportunity to grow your network, learn about other parts of Volvo Group as well as develop your leader skills.
WHO ARE YOU?
What matters the most to us is your drive, your natural ability as a leader and your courage. You should have organizational agility, strong communication skills and of course you are a good team player since that is really what the job consists of.
Other than that, we think you have:
Master of Science in Engineering, Master of Business Administration or equivalent, and an attitude that what you don't know, you go and find out.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Around two years of experience in the IT Industry as Project Manager and have done some high fives and celebrations due to your good performance.
We would also like you to already have a valid work-permit, if not a citizen.
