You will be part of ABB Hoisting and the Electrical Design unit. We develop and deliver underground mine hoists to the entire world. Example of our delivery projects are new hoists where ore are transported up from 600 meters below the surface, then on a conveyor belts into a sorting plant. In plants such as these the process units are integrated with industrial IT 800xA control systems based on virtual servers. The markets are all over the world. At times we work with projects where various parts of the construction are manufactured in different countries e.g. deliveries to Sweden, Russia, Finland, South Africa and Ukraine.
Your responsibilities
Working in delivery projects for hoists in mining plant.
Responsibility for plant design for the automation parts of the plant, including power supply for control cabinets, construction of control cabinets, signals and communication between the hoist and the control cabinet.
Working both as an electrical designer and project lead engineer.
Leading the technical part of the project, ensuring that the project delivers on time and budget for electrical engineering, fulfills local standards and customer's requirements and specifications.
During installation and commissioning work, you will be supporting the site team both on site and from office.
Acting as technical expert to support the project manager in technical matters against both customer and suppliers.
The duration of a project is usually about 12-16 months, you will be focusing on one project and can be supportive in others.

Your background
An academic exam in Electrical Engineering.
Experience from automation and instrumentation in process plants.
Meriting if you have knowledge in database design tool for electrical engineering, experience of low and medium voltage switchgear, relay protection & cable dimensioning or commissioning.
A quality-focused team player with excellent ability to prioritize tasks.
Working in a structured and analytical way to meet deadlines.
Fluency in English is mandatory, Swedish is considered as a plus.
