What on earth is a Powertrain Project Build Project Leader (PBPL)?
Well, we coordinate and secure the assembly of parts to a prototype engine or transmission. This prototype is then used for testing either in test cells or in complete vehicles.
With the biggest technology shift in decades ongoing in transportation and mobility, the wind of change is not only showing its best side in Volvo Groups birthplace Gothenburg, it is everywhere. New solutions and technologies are being developed and with that, our team needs to grow.
We are a great team of eight and we are looking to add a driven colleague. A colleague who wants to be part of developing the Powertrain products but also our way of working to make sure we are in pool position to support the transport solutions being developed, right now.

Position Description
As a PBPL for Powertrain Engineering, you will be supporting and driving the entire physical test object building chain for Powertrain Engineering.
Projects in general have strict time plans and so build phases may be hectic and challenging times, which requires a tolerant but creative mind to find solutions to a variety of issues.
In projects, you are responsible to ensure that the physical test objects needed for verification and validation in Development Projects are delivered on time and with the right quality and content. To manage this you will work together with the engineering project team as well as prototype purchasing, assembly functions and the verification teams.
The test objects are assembled either in the production plant or in the internal workshops and may also be built into our field test trucks.

Experience from project work
A customer oriented mindset delivering high quality solutions, which create value for our customer
Enjoy working with a large network
Experience from the Product Development within the automotive industry
Have a well-structured way of working both with administrative work as well as project processes
Very good communication and English language skills. Swedish language knowledge is considered a competitive advantage
Our team has strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing. We are serving the projects, which means, you should enjoy being a team player and have the ability to build and maintain good relationships.
You should be a pragmatic, driven, curious and inquisitive person. Many times, we just need to get things done!
