The mission of the combined PAM/Planner position in a project will be to secure adherence to the Project Quality Assurance Process and Planning activities to be executed and delivered for the assigned projects by following proven project management principals, as directed by responsible Project Chief Project Manager (CPM). The PAM/Planner takes an active part in the SW project management team and has the responsibility to act as the projects internal auditor and serving as the liaison between different levels, functions and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and anchored project time plan.
The PAM/ Planner role is responsible for:
Project Assurance Management:
• Securing the project gate and end deliverables
• Establishing and leading the work with the Project Assurance Plan/Project Governance Tool (PGT)
• Leading Project Risk Management
• Ensuring that the appropriate project management processes are used in the most efficient way
• Defining, tracking and leading or elevating activities concerning non-conformances in the project work
• Organizing gate audits and presenting the project target status
• Gathering and reusing lessons learned
Project Time plan management:
• Creating the Project Time Management Plan
• Identifying the critical path and building alternative scenarios
• Identifying risk related to Main Time Plan and success criteria's
• Parts planning/securement:
• lead parts planning activities in early phase
• secure parts delivery for project C-builds & P-builds
• build relevant KPIs depending on project size & targets
• To manage visual planning according to OOBEYA methodology
Responsibilities above reflect a maximum model, in practice the PAM/Planer will work with the CPM of assigned project to determine required responsibilities based upon work required within the assigned project. The PAM/Planner must interface and coordinate with team members, different lines and stakeholders to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the established project time line as required or directed by responsible CPM.
Skills required:
• Leadership skills to take lead and drive project quality assurance/planning initiatives within the projects in the IT dept.
• Must have a background in IT/Software Development
• Delivery and customer oriented
• Analytic and structured way of working
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in both Swedish & English
• Holistic mind-set with a proactive approach
• Change oriented with a creative and positive attitude
• 2-3 years of experience in activities related to product development in the heavy duty automotive industry
• 2-3 years of practical functional project management experience.
• Experience in the following tools: DVP, Volvo Project Management processes, PAP/ PGT, MS Project, Visual management standard (incl.OOBEYA), SCORE, KOLA, TIKA/EDB, Project management, PMI
• Minimum education: Bachelor of Science in SW Engineering
