We are currently looking for a Project Assurance Manager (PAM) and Planner for our customer within the automotive industry in Gothenburg.
A combination role of PAM/Planner can be utilized within smaller multiple projects or project offices.
The mission of the PAM/Planner position in a project will be to secure adherence to the Project Quality Assurance Process and Planning activities to be executed and delivered for their assigned projects by following proven project management principals, in accordance with the Volvo GDP and as directed by responsible Project Chief Project Manager (CPM). This also includes aiding the project in meeting defined performance indicators targets of Gate Opening and QDCF.
The PAM/Planner takes an active part in the project management team and has the responsibility to act as the projects internal auditor and serving as the liaison between different levels, functions and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and anchored project time plan.
The PAM/Planner is responsible for:
Securing the project gate and end deliverables. Establishing and leading the work with the Project Assurance Plan/Project Governance Tool (PGT). Leading Project Risk Management. Ensuring that the appropriate project management processes are used in the most efficient way. Defining, tracking and leading or elevating activities concerning non-conformances in the project work. Organizing gate audits and presenting the project target status. Gathering and reusing lessons learned. Project Time plan management:
Creating the Project Time Management Plan. Building the project Main Time Plan (schedule level1) in accordance with project objectives. Checking the level of maturity and consistency for schedule level 2, 3 and 4. Making follow-up, update and proposing corrective actions when deviation identified. Identifying the critical path and building alternative scenarios. Identifying risk related to Main Time Plan and success criteria?s. Identifying the time plan gap and coordination required among relevant PMRs and other start cost projects. Developing short-term time plans to allow a good focus level on project team deliveries. Presenting status and making recommendation before the gate related to Time (D). Parts planning/securement:
Lead parts planning activities in early phase. Secure parts delivery for project C-builds & P-builds. Build relevant KPIs depending on project size & target. To manage visual planning according to OOBEYA methodology
The PAM/Planner must interface and coordinate with team members, different lines and stakeholders to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the established project time line as required or directed by responsible CPM.
Skills required:
Leadership skills to take lead and drive project quality assurance/planning initiatives within the project and to be delivery and customer oriented.
