Product Planning is a global organisation responsible to secure the competitiveness of the products and services, over time, for the Truck companies within the Volvo Group as well as contributing to the integration of the BA (VCE, VBC, Volvo Penta) acquisition and JV's partnership thru consistent product plan and Global product strategies at Group level

We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced member to a challenging position within Volvo Group Trucks Technology Product Planning Vehicle Related Services focusing the Service Business (a.k.a Aftermarket business).

The Vehicle Related Service (VRS) group within PPL is responsible for driving support for enhanced offerings in the Vehicle Related Services area for all Group Truck brands and JVs by managing the Global Product Plan and Portfolio dedicated to development in 5 principal areas:
• Parts Business
• Uptime Services
• Product Support
• Connected Services
• Extended Vehicle

Main responsibility
• Develop a deep understanding of key market segment needs when it comes to vehicle related services (former soft products)
• Conduct and participate in product planning investigations, product clinics, customer surveys, and competitor comparisons
• Bring the best possible value out of the research and development budget by balancing the Sales and Market demands with the Technical and Project requirements
• Actively pursue customer input at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, truck shows, etc.
• Spend at least 20 days per year in direct contact with customers through both formal and informal activities
• Prepare and balance project requests to the development organization in the form of project pre-requisites, in a timely fashion with regards to Services (former Soft Products)
• Be responsible within assigned projects to clearly identify customer needs and facilitate fact-based trade-off's (features/functionality vs. cost) during design discussions in order optimize the product offering with regards to related Services
• Develop roadmaps, plans and budget within the PPL network and support the Product Strategy work
• Align and consolidate commercial strategies, product/-service strategies into a product/-service plan
• Be a driving force in current and future projects to ensure alignment between product-/service plan and project plan in terms of scope, prioritizations, market introductions etc.
• Prepare and present decision material for PPL investigations and projects

You are a member of the global PPL Vehicle Related Services management team.
Through your own initiatives and good relationships you continuously contribute to the Product Planning results in supporting the competitiveness of the Volvo Group Trucks product offerings.

Personal qualifications:
Education: MSc, MBA or equivalent.
Experience: Suitable experience is from Retail, Logistics, Remanufacturing business, Brand Management, Services, Strategy and planning, Truck sales/marketing and experience from business development for commercial vehicles.
An established and proven network throughout different Volvo Group entities, mainly in US and Europe is required.

At least 15 years of experience is required.

Business and customer focused, leadership skills including direction setting, team/-networking, result oriented, holistic view, open minded, structured, negotiation, fluent English, communicative and good presentation skills, manage flexible working hours since you are part of a global team.
