Recap Energy is looking for a Product Manager - BESS. In this role, you will be working alongside our procurement team and supporting other parts of the organization with your knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems.
As our Product Manager - BESS, you will be responsible for setting product specifications, and assuring that procured equipment meets expected KPIs.
Main responsibilities
Full product ownership, further developing and managing the product vision.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features and specifications based on customer/market needs.
Assurance of market requirements and compliance.
Support procurement process from project design to purchase.
Conduct continuous market research and competitive analysis to identify procurement opportunities, product differentiation and market expansion.
Work closely with procurement teams to source quality equipment at competitive prices, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
Provide technical support and training to sales teams, assisting them in effectively communicating product value propositions to customers.
Monitor product performance and customer satisfaction, gathering feedback to inform product enhancements and future developments.
Candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a merit.
Previous experience with BESS.
Proven track record of at least 3 years in product management, preferably in the energy storage or renewable energy industry.
Strong technical background in battery energy storage systems, including knowledge of battery chemistries, inverters, and control systems.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Management skills, ability to lead, engage and create trust.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Swedish and Spanish are a merit.
Availability for travelling and valid EU B licence.
Computer literate and skilful Excel and PowerPoint user.
