hela Sverige Product Maintenance has the global responsibility to solve all quality problems on all existing products within Volvo CE, by driving the cross functional Product Maintenance process. The primary scope is to handle field quality issues and provide support to quality issues discovered in production.
In the role as PM Project Manager for Electrics and Electronics you have an important role to drive quality improvement work within the electrics and electronic area for wheel loaders. You are leading the work in a cross functional Product Maintenance team (with representation from Aftermarket, Technology, Production, Purchasing and Supplier Development). To drive the cross-functional work within the PM process means, besides leading the people in your team, also close contacts with our regions and customers. You will have the possibility to understand how our machines are used, the business critical impact of reliability, and also see many of your team?s solutions implemented on the machines ? and the effects of these.
You will be reporting to the Product Maintenance Manager Wheel Loader and work closely with many of the highly committed and engaged colleagues within the PM organization as well as the different line organizations.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead and drive the cross functional work within the Product Maintenance E&E team for Wheel Loader and Common E&E
Compile and communicate the resource and competence need to secure delivery from the Product Maintenance team
Continuously drive and monitor progress and report deviations when found necessary
Identify main risks in PM work and establish mitigation plan/activities
Prepare, report status and elevate potential issues to concerned PMC (Product Maintenance Council)
Responsible for decisions of extended warranties and product updates
Works with tasks assigned by the Product maintenance platform manager
Monitor budget and report deviations
Drive preventive actions towards responsible process owner
Required Competencies:
Experience from Project management
Experience from Product Development
Experience from the ESW Process
Strong leadership skills
Good communication skills
Good technical knowledge of the end product and its sub-systems
Proficient in written and spoken English is required
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
3 to 5 years of experience from product development ? experience from several technical areas is an advantage.
Minimum Education Required:
Master of science in engineering or equivalent experience
Six Sigma experience (Yellow, Green or Black belt)
