Take on a challenging role and contribute to our big, worldwide interesting HVDC projects. As a Plant Lead Engineer you will be part of HVDC in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, land and sea cable systems. Leading and motivating a group of technical people and act as a problem solver.
Your main task will be to have an overall understanding and responsibility of the plants technical solutions.
Coordinating groups within tenders and projects.
Responsibility to drive and together with your team deliver the tender to end customer.
Within the project teams you will be representing the plants engineering.
You will get understanding within technical HVDC areas and interact daily with different functions, not only your closest team, but also with interface teams such as civil design and construction, system engineering and project management.
One part will also be overviewing the budget and time planning for the deliveries.
You can look forward to interest travels to meet customers and also to our sites that will deepen your technical competence, as well as your leadership knowledge.
Our tenders varies from a couple of months to a couple of years until we receive the contract for the project. The projects typically duration are three to four years and includes all the way from design to support for installation and commissioning. Our projects are all over the world and include both land stations as well as offshore wind stations.

Your background
As a Plant Lead engineer you need to interact well with your team and have a genuine technical interest.
You keep good structure, take responsibility for deadlines and lead people in a positive way, for best solutions.
You need to have at least some years of work experience within energy field, electrical power, electro mechanical design, auxiliary power design, or large projects.
Experience from substations, high voltage products, HVDC or off shore wind connections, is an advantage.
A good experience is if you have participated in site work, commissioning and testing and have
leadership experience.
Knowledge of HVDC technology and experience from the design process for HVDC projects is
advantageous.
You probably have an engineering or Master within electrical power, mechanical design or physics as an education.
Since you will spend a big part of your time to technical coordination, it's important that you are flexible and enjoy a changing work environment. Quality comes first and it's important to take not only plants area into consideration, but to get an overall picture when larger changes are being done.
It's crucial that you speak and write fluently in English and Swedish.
