hela Sverige THE ROLE OF THE PHARMA SERVICES SUPERVISOR
Responsible for the development and supervision of people and processes delivered to a life sciences customers laboratory operations in; Laboratory Instrument Services (LIS) and Laboratory Technical Services (LTS) scientific equipment.
Responsible for supervising the day to day Pharma Services solutions of an assigned team of approximately and sub-contractors to ensure the delivery of services in a safe, compliant and timely manner against an agreed budget. The team consists of approximately 30 team members.
Supervises, plans, directs and schedules day-to-day and long-range activities for defined Pharma Services scope and ensure that all programs and procedures are being properly implemented.Reviews all work to ensure performance, safety and statutory and regulatory compliance. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
Responsible for recording of process performance metrics, maintaining and updating all assigned systems and databases. Provides regular management reports as required.
Responsible for the hiring, training and performance management of direct reports. Supports the Pharma Services Manager in establishing and coordinating departmental and individual employee goal setting.
Resolves problems and/or conflicts and maintains open communication with the client, escalating issues to the Pharma Services management team on all matters concerning execution of the contract.
Performs work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance and safety procedures.
Reviews and updates LIS equipment, maintenance and calibration procedures and LTS procedures.
Ensures supply of spares parts and consumables for in scope Pharma Services.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering.
5 years relevant field experience in laboratory and / or manufacturing pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated environments required.
Management experience: 2 years experience supervising direct reports.
Demonstrable skills in analytical instrument maintenance and / or laboratory technical services.
May require specialized training and experience related to analytical instrumentation to include select technique groups such as: mass spectrometry, HPLC, automation, optical systems analyzers and metrology.
Thorough understanding and ability to operate all supported acquisition systems.Knowledge of, and experience of working with, the life science industry supplier base including analytical instrument original equipment manufacturers, service providers and consumables vendors would be preferred.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and audit experience preferred.
Demonstrated organizational, scheduling, presentation and communication skills, excellent English and Swedish language skills.
Must have demonstrated experience in a safe, team-based, high-performance, quality-driven environment.
