RAN-I, within the Product Development Unit (PDU) 4G&5G, is the new Incubator unit where we make brilliant new ideas grow into products. The intention of the unit is to be responsible for a few specific alternative solutions from TA to PIR, where innovative mindset and methods can be tried out.
We are now looking for someone to lead the Solution Architecture and Integration team. As the leader of this team you will lead the recruitment and initial setup of the end to end technical management and solution team which will be the home for System Architects, Program Leads, Technical Coordinators, Test managers and Product Introduction and Release of the two initial products - DU on COTS solution (VRAN2.0) and our O&M and analytics efforts in ONAP
You will be actively involved in planning, leading and coordinate these activities across multiple PDUs and sites together with the Head of RAN-I. You will also be actively involved in setting up the flow and governance of the unit.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Construction and scope of the Solution Architecture and Integration team
Recruitment of key staff
Accountability for the governance and steering of the RAN-I specific product development
Drive and follow-up of product quality, progress and cost
Focus on structure and speed in decisions, including following through the implementation phase.
Continuously challenging how things have been done in the past pushing for best in class release quality and speed.
Support the definition and deployment of the technology strategies, including phase in and out of new products to RAN-I.
Drive Capability Management and Monthly Resource planning for RAN-I.
Host relevant Steering Groups.
Providing information in a structured way facilitating needed decisions on PDU level.
Develop Teams, individuals and Organizations
Maintain a strong drive for Continuous Improvements
Coach & Drive Innovation, Knowledge Sharing and Learning
Qualifications & Education Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial leader, eager and capable of building and coaching a diverse and highly experienced multi competence team. Contributing to the unit/sector by continuously developing, generating energy, coaching, challenge and creating commitment. Many stakeholders require a strong ability to handle relations and to balance a diplomatic approach while being assertive.
Preferred Skills
Strong Product Development/Technical Knowledge with a proven track record in several different disciplines
Proven multi-stakeholder management capabilities
Ability to drive change in the most complex multi-stakeholder dimension.
Ability to engage on DU LT level.
Strong technical management and project lifecycle knowledge.
Experience in working with senior architects , technical specialists and highly self-governed teams
Excellent skills in communication, both verbally and written
Good business and customer understanding
You have a genuine interest in people
Ability to work and cooperate across organizational boundaries
Large degree of flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks
Find it stimulating to work with change management and teamwork/cooperation across the organizations
Formulating Strategies and Concepts
Excellent English skills in both writing and conversation is a must
University level education
