We are looking for candidates for a position in the Equipment team in our Operations department.
Equipment Coordinator is a role in which you are responsible for full compliance of a global flow plan and for the execution of the equipment flows within Scandinavian countries. In this role you should ensure the most efficient usage of our empty equipment supply/demand in line with commercial as well as global equipment drivers.
Key responsibilities:
• Proactive planning and daily equipment tasks execution based on the flows analysis and communication with a key stakeholders
• Optimize equipment flows and turn times for Maersk Line container assets, continuously reduce long standings, pro-actively drive balance of flows
• Review equipment stock and positioning, reconcile with commercial requirements and measure equipment utilization
• Reduce positioning costs and equipment costs in order to meet or improve budget
• Monitor and control costs for all transports and depot activities ordered
• Responsible for consistent data quality for Maersk Line equipment through ownership and regular contacts with depots, other vendors and internally in Maersk Line
• Develop and follow up on performance measures for external vendor deliverables and follow up on performance on a regular basis
• Assist to execute daily Equipment Maintenance and Repair tasks, manage repair workshops, approve costs, follow up on the cost recovery.
Position requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a result oriented, pro active, enthusiastic team player, who takes ownership, has a sense of urgency, takes initiative and has a positive attitude. The candidate has good analytical skills, is creative, can work independently, perform well under pressure or stress and has a competitive drive to get results through a variety of different stakeholders.
• Experience in container business is the aim, however a combination of talent and proven portfolio will be a strong qualifier as well
• Excel knowledge and good technical background required
• Fluent English and Scandinavian language is required.
