We offer one year of a full-time employment at the R&D department of Permascand AB for research and development of electrode materials. The work is initiated within the seventh framework program "ELCAT" or more specifically Surface Electrochemical Reactivity in Electrocatalysis: A combined Theoretical in Electrocatalysis and Experimental Approach.
Job description
• Research in material science and electrochemistry. In specific: to synthesize single crystals for in situ electrochemical studies using Surface Tunnelling Microscopy (STM) and other surface characterization and electrochemical methods.
• Communication of results and gained experience to colleagues within Permascand AB, ELCAT network, and conferences through oral presentation and written documentation.
• The work includes some travelling and attending courses in the ELCAT network program
Job requirements / Candidate profile
• A PhD recently obtained in material science and/or electrochemistry.
• Be an EU citizen, but not resided, worked or studied in Sweden more than 12 month in the last 3 years.
• Have the ability to work in teams and develop networks both internally and externally.
• Ability to express yourself confidently in English.
• Pedagogical skills to transfer experience and knowledge.
• Experience in Surface Tunnelling Microscopy (STM) and/or synthezis of single crystals is a merit but not a requirement.
• Since networking is a key aspect of ELCAT, candidates outside the AkzoNobel organisation have priority.
