Nordic Credit Collector
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Collecting outstanding balances
At the moment we are looking to increase our team of Nordic Credit Collectors. We are especially looking for you that are fluent in Norwegian, Finnish or Danish!
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively monitor and collect outstanding balances based on aging reports by contacting each account, mainly by telephone and by sending dunning letters
• Interface with various internal departments to resolve issues with regard to outstanding balances
• Report on a weekly base to senior staff about attained results and major customer issues
COMPETENCIES
• Dealing with Ambiguity: Ability to organize and prioritise workload and work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
• Action Oriented: Enjoys working hard and drive for results
• Good communication skills (written as well as verbally)
• Team spirit but also ability to work in an independent way
• Learning on the Fly: Eager to learn, flexible attitude and taking initiatives
• Financial Background (preferably working experience in credit management)
• Working knowledge of financial systems
• Sufficient knowledge of Excel
• Preferably tri-lingual: English and two other Nordic languages
INTERACTIONS
Liase with colleagues from the Finance department, as well as with colleagues from various internal departments (Sales, Customer Care, Technical Support) and external customers. Good communication skills are therefore an absolute requirement, as you are expected to act as a key contact for all parties.
SCOPE
Management Guidance/Supervision
Responsibility for own portfolio of buyers in a specific country and business segment. Report on a weekly base to the Team leader Collections
Problem Solving
Your drive to solve problems should be a leading motive in all work you deal with. Furthermore, you work in an independent way and take initiatives and have the capability to solve (semi)-routine questions. You also know to judge as to when you should report to senior staff problems which should be escalated on a higher level and are able to report these issues in a effective and correct manner.
Complexity
The issues you deal with can diverge from complex to (semi)-routine issues. This requires a flexible attitude, business acumen, insight and experience.
