Position: Motion Capture Specialist
Reports to: Producers, Mocap Lead, Mocap Supervisor

Key job assignments.
To contribute in all aspects of motion capture production
To communicate production progress
To contribute in organising all aspects of motion capture production
To contribute to quality assure motion capture deliverables
Detailed responsibilities
To participate to develop and maintain motion capture production hardware setup and pipelines. This includes hardware and pipelines related to data capture, reference video and reference audio capture/playback.
To contribute to briefings relating to motion capture production, to ensure flow and dissemination of up-to-date information to all relevant parties.
To contribute the day-to-day operations on the mocap stage.
To provide information regarding motion capture production timelines, estimates, turnaround times.
To contribute to all aspects of motion capture data processing.
To contribute relevant information, relating to motion capture production, for project 'post-mortems': to identify successes as well as snags, bottlenecks and blockages that occurred so as to avoid these where applicable and improve for future projects.
To anticipate and communicate issues to the Lead and Supervisor in order to resolve problems quickly.
To help to maintain a positive, upbeat and professional production office.
To actively collaborate with relevant team members in the research and development of applicable hardware, software and tools.
To contribute to all aspects of motion capture pre-production, through collaboration with related department leads, development of pipelines, workflows and processes, to ready for and to maximise efficiency in production.
To maintain a clear and concise channel of communication to clients & producers regarding all relevant aspects of motion capture production, where required with the aim to maximise both client satisfaction and efficiency in production.
To contribute to all aspects of motion capture shoots with supporting shoot-crew staff. In addition, to ensure and maintain both accurate and maximum data quality, and client and actor satisfaction.
To provide support in retargeting pipeline.
To contribute relevant information, relating to motion capture production, for project 'post-mortems': to identify successes as well as snags, bottlenecks and blockages that occurred so as to avoid these where applicable and improve for future projects.
To collect and document all information during briefings and meetings and ensure it?s accessible for all (Google Drive or Perforce).
To contribute to the constructions of props and set-pieces.
To research and document vendors, and develop new and versatile ways of building props and set-pieces.
To ensure the mocap stage is clean and clear (free of reflective surfaces and unnecessary objects).
