MFEX Mutual Funds Exhcange is an independent mutual funds wholesaler offering Financial Institutions and Fund Companies a technologically advanced platform allowing for profitable distribution of mutual funds. This includes online information on funds via our proprietary database, tracking, computation and payments of trail fees and on-line execution and settlement of funds. Their fund offering consist of 227 fund companies world wide, providing approximately 5500 funds. MFEX is a company with 50 people working at the headquarters in the centre of Stockholm and with two local offices in Paris and Umeå.
www.MFEX.seWork description: As a Financial Controller you will manage and develop the department of finances for all companies in the MFEX-group, which include two security companies and a fund company under in cooperation. Your will primarily perform accounting for all the companies within the MFEX-group in accordance with laws and regulations.
You will report to CFO and compile reports to management. An abstract of your responsibilities are;
• Responsibility for all accounting processes within the MFEX-group
• Lead and coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Manage and report the companies payrolls
• Compile reports for management
• Perform monthly, half year-end and year-end closings
• Produce annual reports
• Responsibility for account reconciliations
• Active contact with taxing authorities and the Finansinspektionen (FI)
• Report in accordance with FI regulations
• Other various ad hoc duties
Work scope: On behalf of MFEX, Brainpeople is looking to recruit a Financial Controller with start on Dec 1st 2008.

Competence: You have an academic degree in business administration with a minimum of three year experience from accounting. Your experience and consequently understanding of the financial service industry and accounting for fund companies. Your business English is fluent in both writing and verbal terms since English is the company language.
