The department for Engine Control & Calibration is responsible for function development, calibration and validation of engine control in VCC's gasoline and diesel engines. The department consists of over 70 persons working both in the engine rigs, in vehicles and with simulations. Much of the department's staff also participates in expeditions in Europe and the U.S. to get the right atmospheric conditions for the job. We give you the chance to have a voice in what the customer experience in the car with respect to drivability, emissions and fuel consumption. These are exciting times within the company with both new platforms and new engines being developed.
The group Air Charge Control is responsible for control of turbo, throttle and EGR for both gasoline and diesel engines. We are also responsible for air charge modeling, estimation of pressure and temperature in the intake and exhaust manifold together will mass flow into the engine. Within our group we work both with calibration and development of functionality.
Main Task:
Develop methods to transfer work beeing done in vehicles/engines to desktop. This will involve more effective methods for collecting data from vehicle and use it for simulation on desktop. Another task will be to develop test cases for our software to perform robustness studies and optimise control. We are also interested in including analysis of gas exchange simulations to understand how we could use this information in a more effective manner.
Qualifications:
MSc or more
Drivers licence (B)
Matlab and Simulink
Simulation of dynamical systems
Advanced numerical analysis
Programming
Control and optimisation
