hela Sverige On behalf of the client, we are looking for you who have the right qualifications, experience and personality for this assignment.Are you a Mechanical Engineer and specialising in structural analysis?
This assignment is for a role in a global setting, focusing on the development of a world-class modular robot platform. The position involves a crucial role in managing the robot's specifications, including payload, reach, and cycle time, from the initial stages to the market launch. You will work closely with other analysis and design engineers, providing design optimizations and recommendations based on calculations. Additionally, the role includes enhancing calculation tools and design criteria. Here is your chance to be part of a team of skilled manipulator designers and calculation engineers.
Assignment
Your main tasks are:
• Work in close collaboration with design engineers within the development projects and propose solutions and optimizations for increased performance
• Specialized in structural analysis you will carry out strength calculations (FEM), and structural optimization of mostly casted parts of the robot (static analysis)
• Work in a structured way (there are often many iterations of work on one part, and many different projects ongoing in parallel)
• Document your results in technical reports
• As part of the calculation team, you are expected to contribute to process development and definition and improvement of best practice documentation (after you have gained some experience)
• Prompt communication with various stakeholders, such as design engineers, project managers and calculation team members
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have/are:
• A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Physics, specialised in Solid Mechanics or similar
• 2-6 years of work experience in structural analysis, preferably experience in calculations of cast iron parts
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written, Swedish is an advantage
• Experience with NX Nastran / Simcenter or similar tools for carrying out structural analysis, and FEM calculations is a big advantage
• Experience in Structural Optimizations in Optistruct is a merit
• Interest and experience in programming, e.g. Python, Matlab is a plus
