We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for Thermal Management System


YOUR TEAM

The EE Mechanical Design Chapter is one of five competence teams inside the E/E Hardware Engineering Tribe.

The overall responsibility of the Tribe is to secure NEVS present and future need for E/E Hardware Competence & Technology within E/E Architecture, Electrical Distribution Systems, Electronics & Electrical Energy Storage. You will be part of a creative and inspiring team that like to take on challenges and find new ways to work and improve. As part of the Chapter EE Mechanical Design, you will work in a team within Energy with focus of Thermal Management Systems across Traction Battery Box development

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Have responsibility to develop, integrate and validate thermal system within Traction Battery Box from concept phase to industrialization and implementation in production
- Have responsibility to define & follow up requirements against complete vehicle thermal system
- Have responsibility to lead and perform the design work within Siemens NX
- Be part of mechanical integration work to secure interfaces and packaging
- Be part of CFD simulations work, perform analysis of result and take needed design actions
- Be part of BOM creation for complete traction battery box Establish and improve technical product specifications for thermal system within traction battery box
- Have ability to lead technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development phase
- Support in material development and handling for prototype builds
- Be part of prototype builds
- Be part of validation and verification against requirements
- Work together with vehicle thermal system team interpreting and using analysis results to optimize the systems performance
- Support Mechanical design work for specific components needs in both plastic & metal

WHO YOU ARE

- Successfully completed studies in minimum bachelor's degree within Mechanical Electrical Engineering /Thermal Engineering
- Passionate interest in new technologies and concepts
- Experience within traction battery box design and thermal system design
- Knowledgeable within mechanical design in the automotive domain
- Knowledgeable within Agile WoW
- Accustomed to write and speak in English
- Like to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues
- Can legally drive vehicle in Sweden
