The Market Manager delivers target sales goals in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland by engaging in sales and relationship building with existing and potential accounts. Manages distributors within each country, and leads the day-to-day interface with distributor leadership and sales teams. Supports the European Market Manager to achieve sales goals while portraying the Lagunitas brand and culture. With a focus on Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki, this position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Assists in planing volume targets for distributors by developing distribution and rate of sale (ROS) targets based on data collection & analysis in alignment with the Lagunitas sales strategy. Works with leadership to develop Annual Plans for assigned territory and reach agreement on these plans with distributor(s). Annual plans should include an analysis of performance, volume and distribution targets, sales programing, pricing, selling materials, budgets, etc. Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews with distributors. Updates budget and spending at all times. Develops efficient route plans to maximize account visits and minimize travel times. Makes sales contacts and visits each week according to the sales action list. To support our growth, a higher percentage of calls will initially be to prospective accounts. Utilize the CRM handheld system on a daily basis to record all sales calls. Assist Marketing with planning, executing and tracking against the marketing event and social post calendar and budget management. Work on a daily basis to motivate the distributor at all levels to execute against the business plans.

Ideally bilingual: fluent in both English and Swedish; Must have excellent English and Swedish verbal and written skills. BA preferred. Strong selling and negotiation skills; strong administrative/organizational skills. Strong understanding of Craft Beer; passionate about Lagunitas and the beer business. Technologically-oriented with experience reporting and sharing data (basic/intermediate Excel and MS Word). Works independently with a sense of purpose; highly goal oriented. Loves working with other people; presents a positive outlook. High energy and enjoys being out (not for someone who prefers desk work). Mature and seeks to learn from supervisors and peers. Ability to function collaboratively alongside a larger organization. Hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. Results-driven focus and tenacious work ethic, with the drive, resolve, and urgency to do "whatever it takes" to accomplish specific goals.
Physical requirements: Travel approximately 50% of the time; expected focus time in each region: Sweden 50%, Norway 20%, Denmark 20%, Finland 10%. Full-time hours may vary; must have a flexible schedule. Physical: May involve some heavy lifting. Driver's license (with acceptable insurance record); reliable transportation required. Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
