Purchasing at Husqvarna is organized in several functions securing quality, delivery, cost efficiency and sustainability of supply to Husqvarna on a global level. One of the new key functions within Purchasing is Supplier Quality Assurance and Development (SQA&D), which leads all supplier and bought component quality assurance and supplier development activities within Husqvarna.
Position/Job Description:
We now seek a person experienced in manufacturing and quality specifically for Electronics and Mechatronics manufacturing processes. This person will support the SQA&D commodity structure in Scandinavia. The person should be passionate about manufacturing engineering and quality and should be driven to become an expert within the Electric Powertrain & Electrical commodity. The team, who consists today of six persons, is regionally oriented and is lead by the SQA&D manager for Scandinavia. The position includes travelling to supplier locations both in Europe and other continents.
The essential duties include:
• Responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the supplier quality assurance and development system in the Electric Powertrain & Electrical commodity.
• Perform audits on new and existing suppliers with the purpose of evaluating the expected quality performance of the supplier, and provide relevant information into supplier selection decision forums and commodity management.
• Guide the suppliers in the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and approve the result of the suppliers APQP work, e.i. the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Support in the suppliers' corrective action process and approve the result for Husqvarna related issues that has gone through the process
• Develop strategic suppliers.
Preferred qualifications:
Education:
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering or other relevant discipline
• Possession of recognized qualification in quality engineering, audit processes and relevant certifications (e.g. Six Sigma) is of a clear advantage.
Experience:
• Well experienced working with manufacturing engineering in the fields mechatronics, electronics or other manufacturing processes.
• Well experienced working with quality engineering.
• Thorough working knowledge of quality systems methods and quality engineering practices (APQP, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Production concepts, etc.).
Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Swedish and English are required.
• Strong planning, organization, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, negotiation, consulting).
• Knowledge and experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) including presentation and database application.
