Experis Engineering is looking for a consultant with great knowledge within PLC programming for an exciting and challenging assignment in the automotive industry.
In your role as a consultant for Experis you will work in a combined role as a Manufacturing Engineer with PLC responsibilities activities related to the line builders and as a PLC Engineer, working with the SMS PLC Group.
ME PLC responsibilities
In your role as a Manufaturing engineer with PLC responsibilities you will Lead and coordinated line builders PLC implementation to assure right quality and correct timing.
• Develop a training specification and perform trainings to line builders
• Review the SW deliveries from our line builders
• Analyze the designs proposed by our line builders regarding PLC cabinets, wire harness and electrical safety to propose and assure the best technical solutions
• Develop equipment strategies, in some cases in an SMS group as driver or participants.
• Participate in or lead relevant standard- and technical organizations within the area of responsibility with authority to represent the company.
• Lead or execute equipment projects.
• Perform safety-, reliability- and cost analyses
• Support the running production (Industrial Engineering, Production and Maintenance) with second line analysis within the area of responsibility.
• Define, implement and verify equipment & tools requested from commodity engineering to achieve optimal availability and maintenance cost for new programs as well as replacements
• Create an internal network with the IT department to improve the cooperation and increase the synergies.
• Follow up the current projects that have not yet been handed over to production that are in production to assure maximum up time of the lines.
• Investigate new technical solution in cooperation with other groups (university, Global, IT, ...)
• Give technical advice to other ME groups.
• Define tooling strategy to meet manufacturing (process) targets.
PLC Engineer
The engineer will participate in the design, documentation and programming of common applications in libraries in line with the strategies and methodologies.
The engineer will participate in writing the standard specifications for the PLC programming and the electrical installation of the machines.
Related to the project organization, the engineer will be a member of a project group, responsible of the PLC SW and HW part of the installations from specifications to start-up in production. This consists in:
Writing the specifications for the PLC software and electrical part of the installations.
Technical evaluation of the contractor's offers.
Follow up of the contractors during design, manufacturing and installation, taking care that standards are followed.
Follow up of the start-up of the installation, taking care that all tests are performed according to the specifications.
Create, improve and follow up the SW processes for the PLC sw projects.
Who are you?
We are looking for an engineer within electronics or mechatronics with great PLC skills. We believe that you have several years of working with automation or manufacturing, preferable in the automotive industry.
As a person you are analytical, ambitious and professional with good communication and teamwork skills.
