We currently have the following job opening;
Manufacturing Engineer, Body in White
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will act as global Manufacturing Engineer within Body in white at CEVT and Geely. You will provide up front input to both styling and product engineering to enable competitive styling, dimensional and perceived quality, manufacturability, and reduced manufacturing complexity.
Responsibilities and task
• Drive Process Driven Product design within the dedicated area of responsibility and support in aligning the CEVT/Geely ME Under Body community to ensure "one voice" of manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure the application and fulfillment of all external and CEVT internal guidelines in respect to all business aspects within the dedicated area of responsibility.
• Give ME input to Change Management and support to keep financial targets on track for all assigned Projects. - Manage and communicate the assembly structure plan (POPS) within within the dedicated area of responsibility and ensure BOP alignment.
• Manage Engineering (BGK) meetings within the dedicated area of responsibility.
• Create and manage 2D & 3D clamping within the dedicated area of responsibility. Participate in design review meetings at factory fixture suppliers.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years? experience in body manufacturing or body manufacturing engineering
• Manufacturing plant knowledge and experience for at least 2 years
• Cross functional assignments and global experience
• Subject experience concerning the production of single parts, assembly concepts, manufacturing methods, design features, clamping concepts, planning processes, quality requirements, measuring methods for bodies.
• Good knowledge of statistical process control
• Strong ability for cross functional and multicultural teamwork
• As a person you should be systematic, thorough and able to work through others and work cross functional.
• Fluent in English (oral and written) Chinese is beneficial
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian ? European culture
• Ability to travel on a global basis, mainly China as required
