hela Sverige At Wear Protection, a part of Crushing & Screening Solutions at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, we provide the best suitable solutions in terms of wear parts and protection according to the customer's needs. By identifying bottlenecks in production and developing our wear parts services, we always strive to continuously enhance our customers' profitability, cost-efficiency, and aid Sandvik and our customers in achieving sustainability targets.
We're now looking for a Manufacturing Design Engineer to strengthen our Technical Support & Engineering team - supporting our business growth. Welcome to be part of our exiting Sandvik world!
About the job
In this position, you develop and design wear protection products that meet high-quality requirements and performance standards - by analyzing customers' requirements and product specifications and conceive practical engineering designs. To determine cost and production schedules, you review wear protection and product requirements for method compatibility, and you design, develop, execute, and evaluate fitness-for-use product specifications. In this role, you collaborate with internal R&D engineers, Sales teams and/or customers', manufacturing partners and contract manufacturers.
This also includes:
Creating and reviewing material part specifications and bills of materials.
Specifying precise wear protection product functional requirements to produce final designs.
Evaluating the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
Ensuring compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
Utilizing CAD systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.
For this job you're preferable based in Svedala, Sweden.
About you
We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering. You have a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes involved in creating the product designs - including knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, casting, and molding processes. Demonstrated proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD and SolidWorks is considered a plus, as well as experience in using engineering simulation software. A background of working with wear protection and material handling systems is also advantageous, as is experience from the mining and construction industry.
We're fascinated by your passion and personality - characterized by your strong commitment, motivational approach and hands on attitude. Combine this with a solid technical foundation and you're our ideal candidate for this position. Since we operate in a global setting, you communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional skills in Swedish are beneficial.
