Position description
As Manager - User Experience you will have the responsibility to lead and develop a group focusing on User Experience. You will support the Volvo Group by providing professional services - built on a unique combination of Volvo business knowledge and UI\UX competence.
As manager of the Center of Excellence you are expected to:
• Lead & develop a team consisting of UX strategists, UX designers and Front-end developers.
• Lead the technology roadmap & development of the UX/Front-end area in Group IT
• Perform pre-solutioning/prototyping & POCs to support ideation to implementation with a measurable impact in the User Experience space to demonstrate value add
• Resposible for the development of services, methods and way of working for UX and Front-end, ensuring compliance with standards, technologies and trends
• Responsible for resource planning and people management in the given area to ensure the developement of people & skills
• Resposible for trainings, support and coaching in UX and Front-end area
• Responsible to build skills in the UX& Front End Development area within the organization and through outreach to partners, vendors, association with universities and external events
• Identify, build, and leverage relationships with relevant suppliers to secure the skills for upcoming demands in UX and Front End Development
• Responsible to drive initiatives and technology events to further develop Group IT and the UX and Front End Development area globally and connect with business stakeholders
• Coordinate activities with other parts of the organization as required to bring in collaboration and synergy
• Coordinate support systems and initiatives through the lens of UX in XR, Mobility, IoT, AI, Machine Learning and Digitalization Strategy
Required competencies
• Previous management experience required; preferably 5-10 years of leadership experience in a Leading People position
• Excellent communication & presentation skills, both to internal and external parties
• Genuine interest for developing and coaching people and teams
• Strong organizational agility and proven experience in driving change
• Proven experience in networking and stakeholder management in a cross functional & multi-cultural environment
• Experience from IT consulting and experience from working in a IT delivery organization (project & runtime) would be a plus
• Demonstrated experience in User Experience area
• Complete proficiency in English
• Relevant university degree, preferably in UX or related creative discipline
