The Foreign System Interface (FSI) development team is part of Cerner's Millennium core platform development organization, and is responsible for developing interoperability and integration solutions to connect Cerner Millennium platform with the external systems to exchange clinical and financial data using industry standards like Health Level Seven (HL7), National Council for Prescription Drug Program (NCPDP), EDI (X12.b) for inter-industry electronic exchange of business transactions, Cross-Enterprise Document Sharing (XDS.b) for managing the sharing of documents between any healthcare enterprise, Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) for the generation of documents and a broad spectrum of other standards.

As a Manager, Lead Engineering Manager with the FSI team, you will help lead the development of our solutions within the team. You will be responsible for designing software (primarily in Java and related languages) in order to meet specific requirements. As an important part in the quality of our solutions, you will be asked to participate in peer to peer design/code reviews. Even though this role will be primarily leading and managing software development, you will also be asked to lead your team on bug fixes, testing, documentation, support, and troubleshooting as needed. Cerner is a results-driven company and you will be expected to complete projects according to predetermined deadlines. You will play a lead manager role in an agile team that works with engineers of varying experience levels. You are expected to perform the project management tasks for your team's assigned projects and work with the stakeholders to help define the requirements and technical design artifacts for your team.

Specific tools and technologies may include: Crucible, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Splunk, New Relic and Maven among others.





Basic Qualifications:
*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field or equivalent relevant work experience
• 5 years or more of Java experience
• 10 years or more of Cerner Millennium experience
• 10 years or more of people management and leading and managing software agile teams in building healthcare software solutions
• Experience with healthcare Integration and Interoperability Standards, including HL7 V2, C-CDA, X.12, NCPDP, XDS.b, and Direct

Expectations:
• Able to relocate and work from our Gothenburg, Sweden office
