hela Sverige Driving is a vital part of the Volvo GTT CAB interior section. Based in Gothenburg, our team holds global responsibility for the driving environment of Volvo heavy-duty trucks. With a direct reporting team of 13 individuals from diverse backgrounds, ranging from seasoned engineers to juniors, and representing seven nations, we thrive on English as our common language. The team spirit is strong and supportive. We have a passion for working together to overcome the obstacles in front of us. Additionally, we are deeply integrated with teams in Bangalore and France, forming a robust global network dedicated to advancing automotive technology within our area.

About Us:
Our primary focus lies in developing critical components such as the interior "crown jewel," the trucks' instrument panel, steering wheel, pedal plate, steering column, seats, and door panels. Together, we have the responsibility and mission to ensure that the driving environment continues to be the very best in the Volvo trucks. By doing our part with passion, we ensure that our products stay on top, focusing on our users' well-being, customers' profitability, sustainability, and creating higher value for the Volvo Group.

What You Will Do:
As a Group Manager at CAB driving, your role is twofold: part people leader and part product owner.
As people leader your main responsibilities will include managing the employee lifecycle for direct reports, encompassing recruitment, performance management, and competence development. Additionally, you will provide coaching and guidance to team members, fostering both professional growth and project success.
As a product owner in this international environment, you will collaborate closely with your team to ensure the seamless production of our current offerings, drive the development of future products, and strategize for the future. You are accountable for the technical solutions developed by the team, so your technical interest will be invaluable. Your role involves analyzing and assessing the feasibility of the technical designs. It also requires an understanding that the parts you are accountable for are ingoing components of a complete vehicle, where balancing within your area may be necessary. Your mission is to foster this understanding within your team and ultimately make decisions on the way forward.

We believe you have the following experience and knowledge:
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Several of years of experience in product development within the automotive industry, with a focus on injection molded plastic and metal components.
• Several of years of experience of supplier developed systems and requirement setting connected to this.
• Very good knowledge in development of complex systems, preferably with in seats and/or instrument panel development.
• Experience in line management preferred.
• Proficiency in English and, preferably, also in the Swedish languages.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and global team management.
