Would it feel good to see your work result in software used by tens of thousands of users, bringing more creativity and emotion to this world? If the answer is yes, you will be a great addition to our Smart Tech team as our new Machine Learning Engineer!
At XLN Audio, we create software for music production and award-winning virtual instruments used worldwide by creative enthusiasts, professional music producers, songwriters, and bands. With Max Martin as a co-owner, music studios and instruments at the office ready to use, there is no doubt that we have rhythm in our blood. We love what we do - helping people express themselves through music. Our ambition is to build the world's most inspiring and innovative software, to help bring ideas to life and be part of the powerful feeling only music can create.
As for the team, we are a bunch of driven, quirky, caring music nerds who never fail to make work fun. We work better when our lives are balanced and flexibility is an essential part of our success. We want to ensure everyone can have the best combination of their families - the one at home and the one at XLN. To allow you to be at your most productive and creative self, you also have the opportunity to combine working from the office and remote - wherever it suits you and your work best.
About the role
As our Machine Learning Engineer you will test new ideas and concepts related to audio signal processing, midi signal processing and music in general, focusing on researching new technologies that might drive forward the industry. You will also be focusing on the application of machine learning concepts to deliver great ideas for the rest of the teams by distilling others' and conducting our own research. To do so, you will be reading relevant research papers and testing and documenting their results. You will be responsible for combining these into new models as well as collecting relevant data that can be used to train them.
Except for a passion for music as big as ours, you enjoy working with a variety of tasks and like to dive into new prototypes.
As far as the technical competences we believe you have:
• Previous experience working with machine learning libraries such as Tensorflow and PyTorch
• Experience working with data visualisation (Tensorboard or similar)
• Knowledge of CNNs, RNNs and Transformers
• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge and industry experience
• A genuine interest in music, audio or speech signal processing
• Strong mathematics foundation (statistics and DSP)
It's a big bonus if you have:
• Experience in producing music (using a DAW and VST plugins)
• Released relevant research papers
• Experience of working with research
Enabling music creation is our mission. Will it be yours? Apply by the link below.
