Global Customer Service (GCS) is a unit within Volvo Cars, responsible for the global aftermarket business, development and distribution of genuine parts, service- and repair methods and accessories. Our ambition is to be the most desired provider of parts, accessories and service to our Volvo dealers and customers and thereby contribute to creating the most exciting car experience for the customer. Our head office is located in Gothenburg with 1.200 employees.



Parts Supply & Logistic (PS&L) within GCS has a global part and accessories supply chain responsibility from supplier to dealer. We have today a Central Distribution Center in Gothenburg and approximately 50 support warehouses all over the world. The Local Distribution Center (LDC) and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) concepts are the spline of our distribution strategy and we are constantly expanding the network in order to shorten the lead-time to our dealers and customers.

Main Responsibilities

As Logistics Project Manager you have an important role in developing and implementing our strategy via different kind of projects in order to improve the overall supply chain performance. You have experience in leading larger pre-studies and projects connected to warehouse network changes and IT. You have a flow oriented and people oriented mindset and understands that results are achieved through collaboration. Adding your own logistics experience and competence in the project is important as well as continuously developing yourself and your teams regarding logistics competence as well as people thinking and acting together.

In this position you will work closely with all other functions within parts supply & logistics (Warehouse, Transportation and Stock Management) as well as the sales operations. You will report to the Director Logistics Development. Currently, the team consists of 8 members: Logistic Project Manager as well as Logistics Engineers.

Possibilities of development

The role is challenging and you will develop project leading skills and a good logistics and aftermarket business understanding making it possible to either take on a managerial role within aftermarket logistics or take on a role within car logistics. Also possible to take on a role within Customer Service Management or as Business Project Manager within Volvo Cars.

Requirements
* MSc in Engineering, advanced courses in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar
* Project Management or other leadership experience
* Several years of experience within Supply Chain Development
* Driving License (B)
