At "Spice N Soul by Indian Tribe" we believe that everyone should get access to quality, affordable, authentic food sourced locally and prepared fresh. We serve Indian food under two themes: A. Indian inspired fast food during lunch B. Indian A la carte during dinner. A half of it representing a regional cuisine introduced every quarter. Currently starting with North Indian cuisine. We are opening 6 days a week serving food on premises ready for taking away and also entertain group orders for both lunch and dinner. Serving right blend of spices that will make your soul happy.

Job brief We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for a menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Responsibilities 1. Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies 2. Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) 3. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff 4. Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions 5. Clean up station and take care of leftover food 6. Stock inventory appropriately 7. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion 8. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards 9. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements 1. A broad knowledge of Indian cuisine - Starters, snacks, main course, deserts, drinks, and sweets 2. Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook. International experience is an added advantage 3. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment (Tandoor oven) and procedures 4. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks and comfortable with cold and hot stations 5. Ability to lead, work and coach teams 6. Familiar with industry's best practices. E.g. ISO 9001:22000, Allergens, Process control & Kitchen Safety 7. Culinary school diploma
