Residential EPAC, R&D Robotics develops Husqvarna Automower within the consumer segment for the Husqvarna Forest & Garden division. The Mechanics R&D Robotics unit within Residential EPAC is divided into teams responsible for new development as well as product improvements and upgrades of existing products. You will work alongside highly engaged and motivated colleagues on product development in new projects. The group is characterized by an open and non-hierarchical culture with great curiosity and a strong desire to grow.
About the role
As Lead Engineer, you will take technical ownership of mechanical development in new product projects. This is a leadership role where you will guide mechanical designers, coordinate cross-functional teams, and influence key decisions on architecture and design. You'll work closely with experts in electronics, embedded software, and industrial design to create solutions that integrate mechanics, mechatronics, and automation.
Your responsibilities include:
Leading and delivering mechanical activities in development projects.
Defining mechanical requirements based on customer and system specifications.
Driving quality, cost, and timeline targets within your scope
Reporting progress to project managers and technical leads.
Coaching and supporting mechanical designers, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with Husqvarna standards.
Collaborating with line managers on resource planning and team development.

About you
You are passionate about technology and thrive in environments where collaboration and leadership matter. You enjoy planning and structuring work while staying close to technical problem-solving.
We believe you have:
A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in mechanical design leadership.
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.
A genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn new areas.

Meritorious:
Background in high-volume production and plastic design.
Experience with embedded electronics or mechatronics.

Location & Work Setup
Our team is based in Huskvarna, where we believe in the value of working closely together. While some flexibility exists, we aim for 80% on-site presence, as collaboration is at the heart of how we work.
